Theme: Working at the grass roots: Helping patrons to find their progenitors and to uncover the history that they made

Country reports will provide brief overviews of the holdings and services in genealogy and local history, assessments of levels of activity, and highlight current developments. Additionally an overview of the genealogy and local history web resources will be given for each country/region.

Besides several designated speakers all participants of the session are invited to give statements in order to identify areas of mutual interest and concern that may serve as the basis for helping each other and organising future activities of the group.
